Description
Summary:This dissertation is the result of a study carried out in the holding of the Bahian poet Eul?lio de Miranda Motta (1907-1988), that aimed to elaborate the critical edition of the dossier of the detached poems which were organized by Barreiros (2012-2015), with the unpublished poems of the author already mentioned. The detached poems are composed by 34 typescripts and 62 manuscripts that were kept by the author in detached sheets in drawers or inside books from the years of 1940 to 1987, in which many of them still unpublished. The research carried out in Eul?lio Motta?s holding verified that the texts under study are composed by one-witnessed and multi-witnessed poems. Some of the multi-witnessed were identified among the typescripts and the detached manuscripts. Others were found in notebooks, pamphlets, books that were published by the author, brochure and in newspaper publications. Therefore, the number of critical editions in this work is about 86 texts. The edited corpus reveals the process of writing and rewriting done by the poet Eul?lio Motta and constitutes in a link between the most varied editorial projects of the author that were identified in his holding. Because they are not part of a specific project, the detached poems bring together the most varied themes worked by the poet in his literary writing throughout his life. Thus, it is possible to affirm that the dossier of the poetry of Eul?lio Motta is a summary of the poetic production of the author. The edition of this corpus is based on the theoretical assumptions of the Textual Criticism (SPINA, 1977, CAMBRAIA, 2005, SPAGGIARI and PERUGI, 2004, QUEIROZ, 2008, BARREIROS, 2012-2015); about writer?s holdings (BORDINI, 2009, HAY, 2003, MARQUES, 2007-2015) and in the edition criteria elaborated by Barreiros (2012, 2015). In addition, given the large number of multi- witnessed texts and the written movement done by the author in his witnessed texts, it was decided to also present a genetic apparatus in order to bring to light the richness presented by the identified variations in the writing process of Eul?lio Motta. In order to do so, it is taken as base of work the studies of Genetic Criticism (GRESILLON, 2007; BORGES, 2012). This work is relevant because it adds the research done in the field of philology and literature that has been done in Bahia. In addition to that, it also collaborates to shed light on literary work done in the interior of Bahia during the twentieth century and contributes with the works done from the holding of Eul?lio Motta, so the literary work of this author is shared with the society of the present. This makes it possible to remove his literary production from the silence of the holding
