Resumo:Popular Cultural Action was a work of social Catholicism in Colombia for the formation of the peasantry and modification of rural social realities through actions arising from the Radio Schools. Although this proposed cultural formation became an option for rural education in the country, also it was a strategy used by the Church to extend the religious education farmers, using media such as radio, which facilitated inserting the Christian message in the most remote areas of the national territory. The article states that Cultural Action was not only a tool of basic education to overcome rural illiteracy, but also a device for projecting Catholic faith and morals in the farmers, who will be tracked here in radio programming, the relationship with other Catholic sociability and promotion of religious vocations.
