Descrição
Resumo:This study aims to analyze the psychological contracts of app drivers considering the subjective nature of such a relationship. Therefore, a descriptive qualitative research was conducted to collect and analyze the results. Semi-structured interviews were carried out individually with 5 application drivers. For data processing, the content analysis technique was used. The main results point to financial need, lack of employment, and saturation of the labor market, configuring some elements that lead them to exercise the profession. The appreciation of work occurs through flexible hours, autonomy, and transportation of people. It was identified that the type of psychological contract closest to the reality of app drivers is the alienation contract, characterized by specific, sporadic, economic exchanges, and virtual and technological relationships. This relevant finding deserves further study in future studies.
