Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to analyze the synthesis of the Dilma government made available by the Globo news portal - G1, from August 31, 2016. When studying this retrospective, we are not limited to understanding its formal or structural meaning, but we also focus on detecting the narrative strategies proposed by the site in order to better understand the meanings in dispute, as well as the complex power relations that are part of this dispute. To support our analyses, we used a method based on Erwin Panofsky's propositions that incorporates, according to Barthes' propositions, the study of captions and titles associated with the selected images. To reflect on the results found, we invoked the concepts of Event, developed by Louis Quéré, and of Framing, proposed by Erwin Goffman; together with the notions of Discourse and Truth arising from the work of Michel Foucault; as well as ideas about photography by Alan Sekula, Roland Barthes and Susan Sontag.
