Context: Mangroves face serious threats due to the expansion and permanence of large cities in coastal areas. However, there are possibilities for adopting sustainable measures. This work aims to present the actions developed in the "Save the Mangrove" project, as well as to discuss the effective need for conservation and sustainable use of resources in mangrove ecosystems. The project was implemented at Getúlio Vargas State Elementary School, located in the Porto do Moinho neighborhood, in the municipality of Bayeux - Paraíba, whose student profile is characterized by experience in mangrove areas. Methodology: The methodology used was qualitative and quantitative, with an exploratory and descriptive approach, focused on the analysis of the theme under study. Materials developed by the students themselves were used, and the project successfully achieved the promotion of enriching activities aimed at environmental awareness. Through lectures and debates, the teacher stimulated the production of informative, educational, and communication content for the students' training and awareness. Considerations: By discussing the importance of mangrove conservation and the "Save the Mangrove" project, this work contributes to the environmental awareness of students and the valorization of resources in mangrove ecosystems. The adoption of sustainable measures is crucial to address the threats faced by these ecosystems and ensure their preservation for future generations. |

El proyecto se implementó en la Escuela Primaria Estatal Getúlio Vargas, ubicada en el barrio Porto do Moinho, en el municipio de Bayeux - Paraíba, cuyo perfil de estudiantes se caracteriza por tener experiencia en áreas de manglares. Metodología: La metodología utilizada fue cualitativa y cuantitativa, con un enfoque exploratorio y descriptivo, centrado en el análisis del tema en estudio. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar as ações desenvolvidas no projeto "Salve o Manguezal", assim como discutir a efetiva necessidade de conservação e uso sustentável dos recursos em ecossistemas manguezais. O projeto foi implementado na Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Getúlio Vargas, situada no bairro Porto do Moinho, no município de Bayeux - Paraíba , cujo perfil dos estudantes é caracterizado pela vivência em áreas de mangue.
