Descripción
Sumario:Abstract: This academic essay examines the process of establishing journalistic credibility of Revista AzMina, an independent journalism publication that emerged in 2015 to cover gender-related topics within the context of the independent and activist media boom. After revisiting theorists such as Guerra (1999), Miguel and Biroli (2010), and Prudêncio and Batalha (2020) to discuss the concepts of neutrality or impartiality in journalism, particularly in the context of activist journalism, we describe and analyze AzMina's implementation process according to the indicators of the Trust Project, an international consortium of news organizations that promote transparency and credibility standards in journalism, as well as the adherence to the seal that certifies the publication's commitment to best editorial practices.
