Descripción
Sumario:The Saco da Pedra archaeological site in the municipality of Marechal Deodoro (southern Alagoas) is characterized as da shell site (sambaqui) with dates varying between the pre-colonial and colonial period, suggesting a process of reoccupation in the area (SUGUIO et al, 2003; BAVA DE CAMARGO et al., 2020). In recent years, the site's surroundings have undergone (and are undergoing) profound changes in its geomorphology, impacting the site directly in its horizontais distribution with erosive processes.Understanding these coastal impacts, mapping their distributions and intensities, in addition to monitoring, are essential for the future of the Saco da Pedra site in the coming years, and finally, it is possible to propose measures to increase the preservation and conservation of this site and other sites coasters in such conditions. To achieve these objectives, a range of maps, images and area photographs were carried out, which, when compiled, were able to show the beginning of these coastal impacts at different scales (temporal and intensities) on the Saco da Pedra site, in addition to enabling the realization of a projection of the future of the site for the coming years.
