| Sumario: | In this work we investigate the main arguments presented by 19th century Swiss thinker Maurice Pradines, who greatly influenced other thinkers who were interested in the theme of “sensation”, under the bias of “elementary sensitivity”. It focuses on “elementary sensitivity”: an interface between ethics and aesthetics from Lévinas andPradines. This work is about showing how “elementary sensitivity” is constituted in Pradines, which understands sensation not only linked to exclusively physiological or psychological elements, but also characterized by a singular intelligence, an “intelligence of sensation”. In this way, an investigation about the origin of sensory activity, in the form of a “philosophy of sensation” is of fundamental importance for the understanding of how pleasure and pain are related in the aesthetic experience in its interface with ethics. |
