Sumario:The Chinese experience in the last 25 years contradicts the orthodoxtheory, that sustains that in the context of globalization remains the peripherycountries resign the internal policies of development. The Chinese case reaffirmsthe importance of realizing economic policies to the development of the countries.In this perspective, the article discusses the strategy of development of China inthe period 1978-2005, detaching the importance of the reforms and the exchangeratepolicy in the period.
