Descripción
Sumario:This paper proposes to know a little more about the supermarket consumer who uses e-commerce for their purchases, identifying whether this consumer chooses to receive the products at home, via home deliveries, or prefers to pick them up at the physical location, using the drive-thru system. Considering the methodological procedures, the research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, given the contemporaneity of the theme and for exposing characteristics of a given population. The field survey used an on-line questionnaire that contained questions of multiple choices and generated data treated in a quantitative way. The main results were that the supermarket sector still has no relevance in e-commerce, as people prefer to make such food purchases in person. Regarding the delivery options for different products mentioned in the questionnaire in addition to the supermarket sector, most prefer the home delivery system instead of the drive-thru delivery system, enjoying the main benefits: comfort of being able to buy without leaving home, time savings and practicality. It is concluded that the supermarket sector is still adapting to this new sales format, while the home delivery service is the most used and chosen by the participants after making an on-line purchase. Thus, companies that choose only the delivery system via drive-thru, will not be able to meet the expectations of most customers, unless they start offering both services, leaving the type of delivery in which they wish to receive the discretion of each customer. your products.
