| Sumario: | The research aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the aggressive behaviours of students in 4th grade of secondary level in the educational institution Ángel Custodio García Ramírez, Tarapoto – 2020. The design of the investigation was basic of the non experimental – transversal type, and the sample was composed of 60 students from 4° “A” – “B” of secondary level. The instruments used were the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire and the Buss and Perry’s Aggressiveness Questionnaire. To find the correlation, Pearson’s parametric statistics were used, reaching a value of p>0.05, a negative concordance – weak intensity (rho= -,237), explaining that the higher the emotional intelligence, the students show less aggressive behaviours. Concluding, 68.3% can be found in a high range and 31.7% in a very high range, belonging to the first variable, as well as 71.7% can be found in a very high category and 1.7% in a very low category. Also, there is no significant relationship between the variables studied. |
