| Resumo: | Research on ELF has pointed out that English teachers seem to have an incipient knowledge about this concept. Given the importance of ELF, the discussions promoted by its studies need to reach teachers in a (more) significant way. Thus, we present as the object of this study a methodological approach to teacher education based on the Vgotskian Sociocultural Theory (VSCT) aiming at the development of the ELF concept. Our goal is to describe the methodological design of this course and explain the reasons that justify each of the proposed movements. For this, we are anchored on the main precepts of VSCT that point out that learning takes place in the interaction with others, and that there is an imbricated and complex relationship between cognition and the social. Since Vygotsky was never sufficiently clear about modeling and methodologization, we hope to contribute to those who, like us, have Vygotskian inscriptions. |
