Descripción
Sumario:Critical museology is a field of research enriched by different disciplines. Oriented to hermeneutic and constructivist perspectives, it focuses in a deep reflection on museographic practices and the experiences of visitors. Reflections help to develop communicative strategies that strengthen the new profile of the Museum institution. This study assesses the contribution of semiotics in two analytical contexts: exhibitions and visitors’ studies. The links between both contexts delimitate a particular communicative field and provide elements for building a model that serve to evaluate the communicative efficacy of an exhibition. In this study, it is emphasized the contribution of qualitative studies and discourse analysis. The reflections presented here are derived from studies carried out during the last years in the Museo de La Plata.
