Sumario:Producing internally some product or service or obtaining them from an external partner are recurring issues faced in numerous companies of the most diverse sizes and segments. The research sought to analyze the management practices of companies in the pulp and paper sector in Brazil. A semi-structured search script was developed for a better knowledge of the companies reality about their outsourced activities. The research results pointed out that some of them think of reversing some outsourcing processes for their own labor, even if they are not considered as their end-activities.
