| Sumario: | Basque cinematography experienced one of its most successful periods in the eighties thanks to the ratification of the Statute of Autonomy in 1979, and the subsequent transfer of powers to the autonomous community. As a result of this event, a grant policy was launched by the regional government in order to produce basque films. A representative example is that of filmmaker Pedro Olea because, with his film practice, took an active part in the launch of the so-called "basque cinema". |
