| Summary: | This paper deals with the Political History of the city of Santana do Acaraú-CE, with the figure of the politician Francisco das Chagas de Vasconcelos as its central point. In this way, the objective of the work is to problematize the ways in which it was invented, institutionalized and materialized by a series of discursive mechanisms. His image was erected by small games and tidy words which made him one of the most central and influential characters in the city. Scrutinize and problematize these games and sayings, from the analysis of the documents that present it, still makes the intentions of this work. It is these sayings and the actual effects associated with them that mark our study. Moreover, to investigate how memory operates in this invention process and how the presence of Chagas materializes through the city as a spectrum, are the pertinent questions in this work. We also analyze, from the singularities of its trajectory, some of the political phenomena, problematizing themes related to political culture having as one of our goals, the analysis of the discourse. The problems of this work were developed from a documentary set that covers periodicals, documents of the Legislative and Judicial powers, among others. |
