Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this work is to describe the indigenous population in the affected area by the Environmental Disaster of Brumadinho. From the 2010 Demographic Census data, 1096 indigenous people living in ten municipalities in the area were identified. The results showed an indigenous population with characteristics of social vulnerability. They were older, mostly women, poorly educated and dependent on pensionsand social programs. It is important to highlight that in order to understand the new reality of these populations in socioeconomic terms, and the dimensions of the impact of the disaster on the population and the environment, it will be necessary to collect primary data across the area.
