| Sumario: | With the increment of older population in Puerto Rico, exist the need to study this group to provide adequate services. depth interviews were performed to 10 married people with an average 53.25 years of marriage. Thematic that were analyze: the meaning of marriage in their lives, the strength of their relationship, marital communication, marital conflict, forgiveness, trust and the recommendations to future marriages. Finally, even though the spouses recognize the complexities in their marital relationship they also demonstrated to have a positive view on it. |
