| Sumario: | In the media, there is a recurring presence of news about how social networks and digital devices are integrated into daily social practices. In the educational field, the use of digital technologies for teaching and learning is becoming increasingly common. The purpose of this text is to demonstrate that interactive virtual environments are ideal spaces for the application of information literacy as two strategic procedures for the meaningful learning process. Because it is a qualitative research, a bibliographical survey of authors who provide ideas and concepts about information literacy, meaningful learning, digital technology, and pedagogical practice was conducted in interactive spaces of cooperation and virtual discussion. These concepts permeate the process of teaching and learning, from the perspective of the mediator/educator and the learner/apprentice, who become reconstructors of knowledge. As a result, as a result of the pedagogical activity, the acceptance of virtual learning environments and interactive digital tools should be considered in the teaching-learning process, leading to the consistent production of knowledge that promotes critical thinking and the autonomy of the individual learner. |
