Sumario:Nowadays there is still a lack of standardization when it comes to practices that permeate forensic psychological assessment, specifically in the context of custody disputes in Brazil. Therefore, this study sought to investigate, through an on-line questionnaire, how psychological assessment processes involving custody disputes are carried out in the southern region of Brazil. The study included 28 psychologists, with an average age of 36.5 (SD= 8,64). Descriptive analyzes of the respondents’ answers were conducted, as well as comparisons between states. Results point out that HTP, IEP, CAT-A, and SARP are the most frequently used instruments. Concerning the procedures, the use of interviews stands out. The study presented an overview of the psychological evaluations in a custody dispute in the Southern Region of Brazil, providing significant data for the professionals who work in the forensic psychology field.
