| Resumo: | This paper describes the FROgMAN for animals monitoring based in a wireless multimedia sensor network, using just commercial nodes. The objective is to evaluate the usage of sensors network for collecting and storing images using the ZigBee protocol. As proof of concept, an application was developed to monitor the habitat of anuran amphibians by providing a macroscopic tool. Tests in laboratory and field were performed to assess the accuracy of the system. The real implementation and its tests suggested that is possible and viable. |
