Sumario:Aiming to bring elements in order to broaden the debate on the processes of formation of new urban peripheries, this paper takes as reference two big habitation public policies, the National Bank of Habitation ( Banco Nacional de Habitação – BNH) and the housing financing  program “Minha Casa Minha Vida”  (PMCMV) – tier 1, and their relation with the reconfiguration of center-periphery relations, as well as its sociospatial consequences, in three medium sized cities researched by the ReCiMe ( rede de pesquisadores sobre cidades medias – network of researchers on medium sized cities): Campína Grande- Paraíba, Chapecó – Santa Catarina, and Dourados – Mato Grosso do Sul. As these policies take particular traces on each case, to reveal some dimensions of these processes secondary data was collected from the system of habitation managing (SISHAB) from the Regional development Ministry (MDR) from the time period of 2009 to 2020, as well as from mappings, documental and local urban codes of law analysis. This study allowed the conclusion that the implantation of BNH projects demark the constitution of peripheries and the center-periphery, and that the PMCMV deepens the same dynamic, promoting ampler dispersion of the urban fabric and, therefore, the formation of peripheries with more plural contents.
