| Resumo: | ABSTRACT This master's thesis entitled: SCHOOL IS COMMUNITY, COMMUNITY IS SCHOOL: history and contemporary education in the village Pataxó Meio da Mata aims to show, reflect on the educational practices of the village Meio da Mata, and all the confrontations that have occurred over the years on this trajectory. An analysis of the political-historical contexts of an implementation of law policies in indigenous school education. The new practices within the indigenous school, new curricula, where the mother tongue and indigenous knowledge are taught are indicative that the indigenous school has been undergoing changes that can, in fact, meet the perspectives of a specific and differentiated education. School is community, community is school, and in this sense, indigenous education and differentiated indigenous school education go hand in hand, equally, without one superimposing the other. The perspective of indigenous pedagogy is the confrontation with Western pedagogy to consummate the epistemology of Pataxó authorship; we are master producers of knowledge. This research was carried out in partnership with the community, respecting diversity and obeying all traditional knowledge. Thus, the school allows us to understand the world of white people, allowing us to choose which side we want to be on. Until we managed to change the expression school for Indians, we suffered a lot of genocide, ethnocide, since Western knowledge was to decimate all our knowledge, with our struggles and resistance we have a differential and intercultural school education. |
