| Resumo: | This study investigates the acquisition of fricatives of Brazilian Portuguese, by focusing on the relationship between lexical and segmental frequency in two corpora of data collected during adult-child interaction: a corpus of adult child-directed speech and a corpus of the words produced by six babies aged 1-4 year-old.
