| Resumo: | The application and research on the process approach to writing instruction are not recent and few studies have been carried out on the writing instructtion and composing process in English as a foreingn language, especially when auch approach is used for the teaching of academic generes. The process writing model highlights writing as a cognitive, recursive and nonlinear process, besides motivation, affect and reading as important elements to the development of writing. This article aims at reporting results of a study in which the focus on the writing process as a pedagogical tool is appropriate for second language learners when it is integrated to academic genres instruction ando journal writing as an activity of students reflection on their development of the abiity of writing. |
