Descripción
Sumario:To provide a theoretical-methodological approach of analysis of documents entitled Human Development Reports (HDRs), commissioned by the United Nations, is the purpose of this study. In this article, we will not make an extensive reflection on the various topics of such documents nor will we construct, based on them, a specific object of investigation. Our proposal is to indicate some theoretical and methodological approaches that can guide the construction of objects and search procedures when faced with documentary sources such as these. The aim of this paper is then to explain research procedures that are guiding the reflections on the HDRs. Based on a historical-hermeneutic perspective, the research being developed for some years about the reports, are intended to unravel the guiding political clashes in a way to interpret and lead a social life. Interpretations contained in the documents are intended not only to reveal the blocking factors of human development, but to direct the formulation of a public agenda of actions, practices and procedures.
