Sumario:The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how the concept of eugenics proposed by Francis Galton has passed through different understandings in the interpretation of the Brazilian eugenicist Renato Kehl. To this end, we worked with four works in order, placing them side by side and understanding their contexts of production from Kehl readings, to analyze how the concept elaborated by Galton was reinterpreted by the Brazilian eugenicist in different phases of the eugenic campaign. Thus, Eugenics and Social Medicine (1922), Improve and Prolong Life: the eugenic valorization of man (1923), Lessons from Eugenia (1929) and Eugenic shavings: Sex and civilization (1933), are the main sources of this article
