Sumario:The research aims to show the movement of black women and racial relations established through their frizzy hair. The black hair woman carries a symbolic stigma derived from cultural meanings. Thus, we understand that the bibliographical analysis of black women movement, body and identity, enhance perceptions that go beyond the visible, guarding social meanings, historical and political. The methodology used to monitor the unfolding movement of black women, occurred in the process of data collection spaces of black struggle, as well as semi-structured interviews with black women of the city of Uberlândia, more understanding view of the significant changes of aesthetic empowerment these women. The aesthetic within this movement is beyond a form of hairstyle, this process rescues the beauty of their blackness. We believe that the visibility and extension of this social movement involving black women promote gains and reflections for african-Brazilian social life, such as public policies promoted by socio-historical experiences of black people, deconstruction of stigmas and stereotypes of their images and historical understanding of their condition, as well as acceptance of their self-image. In these spaces we understand these different lines ranging from the production of a black consciousness to create an aesthetic that redefines standards with or without direct links to militancy. Therefore, in addition to an aesthetic context, it is symbolically a provider segment of blackness and reaffirmation of black consciousness. This women's movement recognizes the need for black women insertion in different spaces of power, and these contact areas allows to work with self-esteem, socialize ideas, dilemmas and experiences. Thus, these lines and insertion places of black women, contribute to a political circumstance, reinterpreting views of different standards of beauty, status, and checking that their ethnic characteristics are valued.
