| Sumario: | The evolution of digital health and the (dis)infodemic demand that citizens have capabilities that go beyond the instrumental domain of technological devices. eHealth literacy comprises the skills to find, understand and evaluate health information available online, using it to solve health problems. The most used scale to measure this competence is the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS). The aim of this article is to understand the main academic convergences and divergences around eHealth literacy and eHEALS. Through a bibliographic review, we also analyzed how different social contexts in which eHealth literacy develops are addressed. We conclude that this is a field that still lacks studies that discuss, expand and validate its social dimension, towards a critical eHealth literacy. |
