| Sumario: | In medium cities the central areas receive a huge circulation and flow of people, commodities and money, that can enable the consumption and adinamic economical from these places. An important phenomenon in actual configuration from these cities is the decentralization of the central area. From the growth of Montes Claros/ MG, its central area has turned. This factor provoke the decentralization economical amd a formation of new centralities, like the subcentral areas. In this way, the present work aim discuss the subcentral area Major Prates like expression of new centralities of Montes Claros/ MG. To this study, a review of literatura was done about a specific thematic, as well as the use of primary source (interviews). Interviews were done with key people, like the trade interprise’s owners and services located in the subcentral area Major Prates that has a branch in the central area of Montes Claros, to comprehend the reasons of expansion from its bussiness to determinated areas in the city. |
