Descrição
Resumo:Abstract:  The concepts of territorialization of capital and monopolization of territory by capital have notable importance in the field of agrarian geography and have been increasingly used as a theoretical basis to support the explanation of the advance of capitalism in the Brazilian countryside. From this perspective, the general objective of this work is to understand how these two concepts have been used to explain the Brazilian countryside in the context of monopoly capitalism. The procedural method used to develop the research is based on content analysis, based on Bardin (2022), which was applied to the bibliographical section selected for the construction of the research: the proceedings of the International Symposium on Agricultural Geography (2003-2019 ). Within the scope of the research results, we highlight the striking presence of the concepts of monopolization of territory and territorialization of monopolies in several studies published in the annals of the analyzed event, mainly based on a theoretical foundation focused on the discussion proposed by Ariovaldo Umbelino de Oliveira.
