| Resumo: | This article discusses ethical issues involved in the production and use of artificial intelligence (AI), a technology that brings social and educational benefits, but also risks and harms. The gains from AI are highlighted, but also critical points that deserve attention from professional and technological education (PTE). Proposals for action are presented to promote the ethical formation of students when dealing with the production and use of information and resources made available by AI. The article was constructed based on bibliographic research. It was found that the use of AI requires critical analysis, debates and ethical guidance, which are fundamental for PTE to provide a comprehensive and polytechnic education, enjoy the benefits of this technology and, in a critical, responsible and creative way, cooperate with its development and improvement. |
