Resumo:The purpose of this paper is to critically analyze the possible layoffs at the Rio Grande do Sul Zoobotanical Foundation, which were suspended in January 2017 by the Judge of the 18th Labor Court of Porto Alegre / RS, Dr. Valdete Souto Severo and by the Regional Labor Court of the 4th Region in the case of a writ of security. The methodology adopted was deductive, based on a significant national and international theoretical approach on such issues. In terms of conclusive syntheses, it is argued that such mass dismissals involve not only the workers, but to society in general, have become world problems of postmodernity, in where complexity prevails, in where inadequacy is more profound, and more serious between knowledges separate and fragmenteds between the disciplines, including legal ones, and, on the other hand, realities or problems increasingl multidimensional and global . The impact of multiple cessations of employment contracts reaches a certain percentage of the workers of a particular company and end up generating a collective loss of jobs, excluding thousands of workers from the labor market.
