| Sumario: | This article presents the possibilities of interpretive review of the work Soliloquios of Saint Augustine (354-430), written in his retreat in Cassiciaco, soon after his conversion. In a conversation with himself – a soliloquy – Saint Augustine emphasizes the importance of a self-interrogative attitude, without despising faith. The knowledge that is achieved by reason and by the assent of faith, in Soliloquies, is the expression of a stretched bow that aims at the Truth. |
