Descrição
Resumo:Considering the contexts of childhood and of Early Childhood Education, this paper aims to reflect on children as proposers of educational experiences. In order to do so, a dialogue is developed with concepts of education and experience, according to the perspective of John Dewey, considered a precursor of the New School. The relevance of the reflection produced by this important philosofher of the beginning of the 20th century is pointed out, in support of the argument about the importance, necessity and urgency of recognizing children as protagonists of their educational experience in contemporary Early Childhood Education.
