During a hydrological year, 23 river springs were studied to calculate taxes of total dissolved solids and geochemical lost. The results show that the hydrogeological origin and the hydrogeomorphological dynamics of springs are the main control factor to their contribution to geochemical denudation. Nevertheless, while some springs in quartzite register a geochemical waste less than 10.0 kg/ano, one of the carbonate spring reaches 45,000.0 kg/ano (a value comparable with major order rivers). Therefore, it seems that the role of springs to geochemical denudation and consequently to landscape evolution is more complex and signifi cant than we presumed. |
