Descripción
Sumario:After 15 years of the approval of Law number 10.639 / 2003, on the compulsory teaching of Afro-Brazilian Culture and History, we realized that are a large number of obstacles to the total implementation of that program, among them, the teaching training. In this article, we reflect about the legal frameworks for continuing education, which later developed into the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and, finally, the theoretical-methodological experi-ences of the specialization course in Education and Racial Relations of PENESB / UFF. This experience is original and differentiated in comparison to other courses in the Rio de Janeiro state, because besides having as a central objective the intervention and transfor-mation of reality of the classroom, also takes into consideration the factors that prevent the Basic Education teachers to invest in their studies.
