| Sumario: | This study aimed at analyzing the informational unit of appendix according to the theoretical framework proposed by Cresti (2000) named Theory of Language in Act. This study and the one conducted by Alves de Deus (forthcoming) which focuses on the informational unit of topic constitute a test project that will guide a broader project that aimsto constitute a corpus of Brazilian Portuguese, the C-ORAL-Brasil.The data analysis consists of:1. the prosodic tagging of three spoken texts into utterances and tone units and in the linguistic annotation of each unit; 2. the measurement and evaluation of the main spoken measures (number of turns,utterances, tone units by time; number of words by turns, simple utterances and compound utterances, among others);3. the measurement and evaluation of some conjunctions to point its pragmatic functions; 4. the deep analysis of the informational units of comment appendix and topic appendix (prosodic, functional and morph syntactical features).The results pointed that the use of the Theory to the Brazilian Portuguese may offer new contributions to some important aspects of spoken language analysis and allow a rich comparison with the four languages of the C-ORAL-ROM project. |
