Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to understand how professionals from a public elementary school implement teaching about sustainable development. The study was divided into two parts. In the theoretical, are addressed the concept of sustainable development and its implications for education, and educational policies designed to favor the inclusion of this subject in the school curriculum. In the empirical, we conducted a dialogue with education agents who are directly connected with the legal requirements to include the theme of sustainable development. As conclusion, it became clear that there is a challenge posed to schools. More than include sustainable development in their curricula, they will have to critically analyze its limits and institutional potentialities.
