| Sumario: | The purpose of this text was to highlight the performance of the extension project “COMSEA, what is it?”, in the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, facing the challenges of university extension in pandemic times, emphasizing the necessary interaction of popular knowledge and academic knowledge. The project contributed to the dissemination of the Municipal Food Security Council, a precursor municipal body of the Human Right to Adequate Food (DHAA). The method adopted involves the creation of an account on a Social Network based on the decree of the state of public calamity in March 2020, in which the main objectives were to disseminate information about COMSEA-JF and the sharing of informational content affinity with the DHAA theme. In addition, project members worked in other fields of the virtual environment. It was concluded that although the activities of the project have been harmed in several respects by the pandemic, the partnership between the project and COMSEA-JF and local population proved to be positive, allowing the dialogic process in favor of articulating effective public policies in the field of Food and Nutritional Security. |
