| Sumario: | Finland is a country marked by negative events in its past, but its choices of investment in public education have placed it at the top of educational assessments in recent decades and, as a consequence, have made the country a world reference. The purpose of this article is to analyse the guiding principles for teacher training in Finland, as this is one of the points considered as key to the success of this educational system. The methodology used in the study consisted of an integrative review on the topic in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), in the CAPES thesis and dissertations catalog and in the CAPES / MEC journals portal. The descriptors Finlândia and Professor were used in Portuguese and their translations in English and Spanish. It is concluded that research on teacher training in Finland can support discussions in the field of Education and the formulation of public policies regarding different training possibilities, with results that are widely proven and internationally endorsed, to enhance the necessary transformations in teacher training in Brazil. |
