| Sumario: | According to Freud, anguish has an important psychophysiological function. The first author writings, through the concept of somatic anguish, consider anguish a kind of discharge of the accumulated sexual excitements. This thesis obeys the principie of constancy and takes part in Freud's first theory about anguish, in which anguish is the result of libido transformation. Such thought is reviewed until the formulation of Freud's second theory about anguish. In this theory, anguish is defined as a sign of danger given by the ego. In this case, anguish begin to be considered the fundamental adaptative reaction to the survival of psychic system. |
