Descripción
Sumario:This eminently bibliographical study aims to analyze the theme of atheism in the context of the increasing presence of digital technologies in our daily lives, with emphasis on social networks and their potential for disseminating information, although not always committed to the truth. In this context, the contribution of digital technologies and more particularly of social networks in the dissemination of atheist content and its consequences in society is problematized. The theoretical contributions mainly consider the contributions of Martins (2018), Silva (2020), Xavier and Cardoso (2020), Sartre (1970), Camus (2019) and also the analyzes of Sobrino (1975). Based on the analyzed literature and consulted documents, the results indicate that the rise of atheist activism in Brazil at the beginning of the 21st century was facilitated by the presence of cyberspace and cyberculture elements.
