Sumario:The expression and action of some elements of the seminal plasma, such as proteins and hormones, may serve as markers for the fertility of semen. Studies have demonstrated an association between proteins in seminal fluid and fertility, due the important role they plays in sperm capacitation and acrosome reaction. Some endocrine and/or local factors may be associated with expressiveness and/or function of these proteins, for assisting in the favorable conditions to sperm fertilization. The is insulin, leptin and insulin-like growth factor type I, play out standing because e they can reveal differences between animals associated with the structure and metabolic conditions of sperm cells. Assisting in this way in determining the quality of seminal plasma, demonstrating that the study of the seminal proteins associated with metabolic condition of the sperm cell affected by these sites hormones may serve as an important criterion for assessing the reproductive condition of the male.
