Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to demonstrate the contribution of various ethnic groups in the formation of the Portuguese language spoken in Brazil through lexical letters from linguistic atlases of Brazilian states. Based on the theoretical and methodological principles of Dialectology and Geolinguistics (CUNHA, 1986; SILVA NETO, 1957; COSERIU, 1991), among others, and supported by the social history of Brazilian Portuguese (SILVA NETO, 1963; DIÉGUES JÚNIOR, 1980; MATTOS e SILVA, 2002; PETTER, 2008), we seek to verify the relationship between geolinguistic data and the history of the various social movements that operated in our country, especially between the 16th and 19th centuries. The data from completed and / or published atlas letters served as the basis for the analysis: Atlas Prévio dos Falares Baianos (ROSSI, 1963), Esboço de um Atlas Linguístico de Minas Gerais (RIBEIRO et al, 1977), Atlas Linguístico da Paraíba (ARAGÃO e MENEZES,1984), Atlas Linguístico de Sergipe (FERREIRA et al, 1987), Atlas Linguístico do Paraná (AGUILERA, 1994), Atlas Linguístico de Sergipe II (CARDOSO, 2005), Atlas Linguístico do Paraná II – (ALTINO, 2007), Atlas Linguístico do Amazonas - (CRUZ, 2004), Atlas Linguístico de Pernambuco (SÁ, 2013), Atlas Linguístico do Amapá (RAZKY et al., 2017), Atlas Linguístico e Etnográfico de Alagoas (DOIRON, 2017), Atlas Linguístico Topostático e Topodinâmico do Tocantins (SILVA, 2018). Among others questions, the data points, on the one hand, to the dissemination and strengthening of forms of cultured Portuguese and, on the other, to the gradual loss of the features of the languages that composed it.
