Description
Summary:This essay is intended to discuss and weigh how the intimacy constructed with my kin-interlocutors, specifically my mother, can be potent for the making of ethnographies. More specifically, from the real and imagined kinship, from how I saw my mother in childhood and how I came to see her after adulthood. Thus, I go on to piece together her pieces that are lines, traces, and discontinuities. I bring pieces that speak of her, but not only. They tell, through the reconstruction of visual memory-narratives, the intimacy that draws our kinship relations.
