| Resumo: | The volleyball is a sport that explores various body movements, may not only assist in the motor development of its practitioners as in strengthening self-esteem, cooperative, discipline, organization and is also a means of socialization among students of different genders. Created around 1895, the volleyball is today one of the most played sports in the world. The objective of study was search information about this sport in elementary school, can be handled in several ways, depending on the place, public and professional goals that seeks to achieve with this practice. This sport can develop in its practitioners a taste for competition, but, in the school context, can be a tool for education through sports, encouraging the students the desire for the game, hence the importance of teaching properly the meaning of game and the concept of competition. |
