Descripción
Sumario:This article was developed based on the Work of Conclusion of Course (TCC), which had as object of study the use of the smartphone by students of higher education in the discipline of digital systems. We will approach an axis of this research that had as objective: to investigate on the new forms of technological assimilation on the use of the smartphone in the learning of the students, in the discipline of Digital Systems of the Course of Graduation in Computing of the CESIT-UEA. The theoretical basis was based on studies on Learning, Mobile Learning, Higher Education and Technological Assimilation, supported by the following authors: Marinho et all (2015), Santaella (2013), UNESCO (2013), Libâneo; Oliveira and Toschi (2012), Piaget (1982), Lévy (1993). Based on the qualitative approach, we used online questionnaire application, participant observation, interview and discursive textual analysis. Thus, our data revealed that the academics are in possession of their smartphones, there being frequent and varied use of these devices by our subjects. The research revealed that the actions performed with the applications used in smartphones, such as: boolean lab, logic gates simulator and binary ascii conversion, in which during the explanation of specific subjects of the discipline, contributed to the understanding by the academics in an interactive way on the contents worked enabling learning.
