Descripción
Sumario:Based on two courses of Portuguese as an Additional Language offered during the Summer School on Brazilian Studies (SSBS), promoted by the International Affairs Office from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and aimed at international students, while adopting distance learning measures due to COVID-19 pandemic, this work seeks to describe their development, as well as to analyze intercultural (MAHER, 2007) and decolonial marks (QUIJANO, 2000; CANDAU; RUSSO, 2010; MALDONADO-TORRES, 2019) and also the promotion of critical literacy (FREIRE, 1989; STREET, 2001; 2013; CASTANHEIRA; DIXON, 2007) in the students´ final tasks. Although it was observed that the notion of Brazil was amplified through the proposed literacy events, colonial echoes still exist and they surround not only Brazilian imaginary, but also the imaginary of student's home countries.
