| Sumario: | This article aimed to understand the contributions of the pedagogical actions of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina, Urupema campus, State of Santa Catarina, (IFSC-Urupema), regarding territorial development. To achieve this objective, we sought to identify the perceptions of the Institute’s management, public authorities, and organized civil society concerning teaching, research, and extension activities. The semi- -structured interview technique was used in the dialogue with representatives of IFSC, public authorities, and organized civil society. The research revealed contradictory discourses and practices regarding the concept of transformative and emancipatory education, valorization of local productive arrangements, and the role of IFSC-Urupema in contributing to territorial development. Furthermore, it emphasized the relevance of its educational performance expressed in teaching, research, and extension activities, in addition to the welcome, inclusion, and cooperation experienced by the local population. |
